Handmade Crafts UK

My name is Ana and I am the owner of Handmade Crafts UK. I am originally from Portugal but have been living in the UK for the past 25 years.
I have two children aged 10 and 12 and a young man aged 20 with special needs. I also work full time for another company I own in the translations area.
Handmade Crafts UK started from my passion for all handmade products using mainly natural and organic materials. I love the time I spend making my crafts and consider it my own space where my imagination is let free to create products with love and attention.
I love variety and do my crafts accordingly to my state of being: some days I feel more energetic and immerse myself in making organic soaps and bath bombs; some other days I am more tuned in to my stillness and decide to crochet or decorate frames.
My day cannot end without having made at least something creative, so I always try to organise the time during my day so that crafts are part of it.
Hope you like my products as much as I love making them. Thank you for reading and look forward to your purchases.
I love making decorations to brighten up your living/working space as well as eco friendly bath and kitchen accessories,  among many others items. Please visit my Etsy page to view all these goody gifts

Sketch and Flow

My business was born of a desire to get back to my drawing roots whilst engaging with the natural world in a slower more in-depth manner. I do natural world portraits open and ink with intermittent inclusion of hand made paper, pressed flowers and larger dynamic coloured pieces.
I haven’t done any commissions yet but would be pleased to discuss.

Crafty Little Primrose

I’m Steph, owner of Crafty Little Primrose, a craft enthusiast and lover of all things handmade. This began with my 3D craft and design degree, where I learnt about the creative process and the joy of making items people love and cherish. After having my daughter, I decided to set up Crafty Little Primrose, firstly to give myself a creative outlet outside of the daily mum routine and Peppa pig marathons! Secondly, I wanted to use my crochet skills to create a business to help people live more sustainably and to care for our world. I want to take my customers on the journey I am on personally, and as a business, to live more sustainably. I’m not there yet and am trying to find new ways to make my products, business and myself more eco – friendly!

I love trying to use recycled materials for my crochet and these form the basis of my handbag collection, made using yarn created from t-shirt factory off cuts destined for landfill, making them the ultimate eco -friendly fashion accessory! I’ve focused on using recycled or organic cotton in my Scrubbie collection as well, to ensure the creation and use of them are eco-friendly. I was shocked by the impact cotton wool and face wipes have on the environment, considering we use them daily without a second thought! Scrubbies are a convenient and reusable alternative, I’ve since added other products to my bathroom range to help reduce waste in your whole skin and body care routine. The other half of my collection is my guilty pleasure, I adore making hats and scarves! I love using chunky yarn to create classic, cozy pieces, which are affordable and stylish. Buying handmade items, created locally, is a great way to help cut down on the emissions caused by importation and production of machine-made items. I hope customers will keep my items for longer, going against the constant pressure of fast fashion on our natural world.
