Fixer and Maker

I am Tim Rawlings and  have been working in the theatre industry for many years. After COVID hit the theatre industry and the theatres closed, I began to create my own business. This business is called Fixer and Maker. I am currently spending my time constructing  things from locally sourced reclaimed wood and fixing things for people locally.  I am currently selling candle holders, key rings, wine bottle holders, cutting boards and a clever wine bottle and glass holder.  I have also begun commissioned pieces and have completed an outdoor hanging shelf made from oak offcuts which the client provided.

If you are interested in any of my products, please visit www.fixerandmaker.uk/shop.

If you would like a commissioned piece, please contact me by phone 07973 735 283.

Thompson and Pooch

I started sewing as a hobby to raise money for Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare but it has grown into a small business which continues to support retired racing greyhounds. I have 2 greyhounds, Hughie and John and Bonnie, a cross breed. Greyhounds make amazingly loyal pets and are incredibly lazy so happy to watch me sew all day!

I do make commissions especially in the dog and animal fabrics.

Orla Thyme Designs

Hi, I’m Deb’s and I’m the face behind Orla Thyme Design. Orla is my crafting alias!

I love colour, light and nature, especially the sea and all it’s inhabitants and those things tend to be my inspiration. A typical piece of mine will have a duo tone, catching and playing with the light like a fish scale or a feather. I also like to use crystals, certain flowers ( many fade ) , glass chips, bleed colours into each other to create lovely effects and to create my own moulds. I am privileged to have made some memorial pieces, both jewellery and ornamental, by embedding ashes in a favourite colour or fur of a beloved pet. Obviously this is a very sensitive subject so I don’t post these on my page. Please feel free to message me for a chat about your requests though if this may be of interest.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my shop, I hope you find something you love, or maybe I can make you a bespoke piece.

Handmade Crafts UK

My name is Ana and I am the owner of Handmade Crafts UK. I am originally from Portugal but have been living in the UK for the past 25 years.
I have two children aged 10 and 12 and a young man aged 20 with special needs. I also work full time for another company I own in the translations area.
Handmade Crafts UK started from my passion for all handmade products using mainly natural and organic materials. I love the time I spend making my crafts and consider it my own space where my imagination is let free to create products with love and attention.
I love variety and do my crafts accordingly to my state of being: some days I feel more energetic and immerse myself in making organic soaps and bath bombs; some other days I am more tuned in to my stillness and decide to crochet or decorate frames.
My day cannot end without having made at least something creative, so I always try to organise the time during my day so that crafts are part of it.
Hope you like my products as much as I love making them. Thank you for reading and look forward to your purchases.

Handmade by Matt

I am a self thought woodturner and tinkerer, started around two and a half years ago… all started when my wife has asked me to make some table number holders for our wedding. That’s when I decided to make my own lathe!

My main focus is making handmade kitchen items such as utensils, chopping boards, peppermills, bowls, coasters cake stands, bottle stoppers and rolling pins. Handmade pens are also a great seller anything from twist pens to fountain pens, made from wood or acrylic, perfect as a gift. I also create funky lamps using retro everyday items like hand-cranked meat mincer, vintage blow torches and old hand drills. On top of all that, I also make some other unique and unusual items.

If you would like something made bespoke or to your taste, please contact me the possibilities are endless.

Mole Valley Maker

Hi. I’m Dave, the Mole Valley Maker, and I’ve been woodturning since late 2018. A significant Birthday and a chance of redundancy from my main job may have had something to do with this, I’ll let you decide. I’ve always been practical, dabbling in DIY and maintenance from childhood and spurred on by a fascination of woodturning fed by YouTube I’ve been gaining experience ever since. I’ve completed a few commissions and I’m happy to discuss your requirements if you want an extra special or personalised piece. Please have a look at my Folksy store as it contains many examples of the type of work I do. I try, where possible to use locally sourced wood (fresh or reclaimed) and am trying to use UK made kit parts where available. Examples of bottle openers, bottle stoppers and pens show what can be made without having to use Far Eastern parts. Thanks for having a look!

Earthen Effects

My name is Lucy and I am a Jewellery Maker based in beautiful Surrey.

All of my life I have been fascinated by nature and in love with the colours that the seasons bring. There are so many patterns and designs in nature and that is where I get my inspiration from.

All of my jewellery pieces are hand made using home grown flowers, berries and toadstools from my garden. The flowers have been dried to preserve their beauty and encased in resin to be enjoyed for a lifetime. I hand sand and polish all my pieces to make sure I get the maximum shine and sparkle.

As well as pre-made pieces I also love to create bespoke pieces so if you have an idea for a special order just for you then please do get in touch.

I absolutely love what I do and for me there is nothing better than seeing my pieces be worn and enjoyed by my customers.

Estelle

I’m Estelle, a 30 year old coach and Front of House Manager, working in the fitness industry. During lockdown I found myself increasingly stressed and in need of a new hobby, or outlet for that stress, so I took up drawing! I always had an arty side at school, studying photography, textiles and art, but until recently have not pursued any of these hobbies.

My drawings are inspired by art that I like and I would want to have in my own house. I am inspired by traditional tattoos, my favourite artists or inspiring people and I am working on trying to piece together all of my individual drawings into a more well-rounded framed piece.

Photographs of my work show some completed pieces and others in the early stages of pencil work, before adding detail and fine lines.

I am open to taking commissions or selling copies of my work.

My preferred method for contact is my email address estelle.p.parker@hotmail.co.uk
