March Art & Craft Fair

Our first fair on 2019 was Saturday 30th March in Albury. It was a beautiful day – a real contrast to the ice and snow we faced for the March fair in 2018!
Visitor numbers were very good for the time of year, with just over 140 people recorded coming through the door.
The visitors joined us were very enthusiastic about the fair and commented on the great variety and high quality of the products on offer. They spent well, with 81% of customers making a purchase and the average sale being £11.53.
Two of our stallholders did not cover their table cost, but most others had a good day of sales. The average amount taken per table was £88.10.
There were some sellers who had a great day selling, with 7 tables taking over £100, and three of those taking over £200!
It was a lovely atmosphere at the event with a steady flow of customers throughout the day. We have had many positive comments and multiple re-bookings for the fairs later in the year.

Hand thrown stoneware pottery, mainly domestic ware.
Passion for Pyrography – Wood work and wood burning art
We are a husband and wife team who combine wood work and pyrography. Producing items hand made from wood and recycled wood, and wood items with art added using a pyrography wood burning tool. So all handmade.
Chalmers Jewellery – handcrafted jewellery
I use genuine gemstones, Amber Amethyst Lapislazuli Citrean etc! Freshwater & Keshi pearls and lots more. I also use Leather Silver and Plate all my own designs.
I love making jewellery and am always looking for new designs to add to my pieces. I only sell at Craft Fairs.
Charlotte Godfrey Art – watercolour art
Surrey based Artist, specialising in watercolour pet portraits.
I love watercolour for its controlled chaos element, using its fluidity to create something beautiful and as an avid animal lover, the two elements found and complemented each other, expressing & celebrating the beauty in all animals and pets through brush strokes.
Although I specialise in Watercolour, I also adventure with mixed media, adding acrylic or occasionally leaves & other organic materials to bring texture to my pieces with sense of three dimensional effect.

Ginger and Mint Artworks – animal paintings on reclaimed slate
With a Welsh father and Cornish husband I have spent a lot of time around slate mines! After a while I got in contact with some and asked if it was possible to bulk buy their waste slate. I have found I am able to put these to good use by painting animals on them and like to combine my love of animals with the use of natural material that would otherwise be cast aside.

Alice & Nancy – crochet and knitting
Inspired by the artist’s late Grandma’s, Alice and Nancy, hoping to bring a little handmade crafted joy to peoples houses. Specialising in crochet and knitting, I crochet flowers such as daffodils and tulips, to be sold individually, as pick ‘n’ mix or as bouquets.

I make keyrings, bookmarks, purses, bags, pencil toppers, zipper pulls, shaped bunting, door hangers, and offer bespoke embroidery, eg bears, school bags, cushions, plus more.
